Okay long story short. Kids used to party in the woods by my house a few years back. There's a fort and a table and fire pit. Good chill party spot. No one goes back there often other than us for airsoft paintball ect. I'd say the closest house is a quarter mile away maybe a little less but the woods are thick and we weren't too loud when we had some bonfire parties.
So me and my buds are old enough (18-20) to adopt this spot so we did, throwing a few smallish bonfires/ party. I go back there today for the first time since our party Friday night. Our spot was trashed. Benches and tiki torches were burned up in the firepit. My real nice cooler with $50+ worth of alcohol was gone too. The big ass table was gone but i followed the path of debris from where they drug and carried it to a back yard. So i know what house is responsible.
It got personal too when i also saw they tore down a section of tree fort that I recently built. They knew it was new because the rest of the older portion of fort was still there.
I am thinking the original partiers, now 20-25 years old, may have wrecked it all and stole our drinks but it's hard to tell. I know it was my fault leaving my bottles back there but like i said no one ever is down there.
At this point I want my cooler back. I am upset about everything else but I am fine as long as I get my cooler. Should I just straight knock on their door and ask for it or get revenge and egg their house and such? I am not certain if who ever did this was younger guys but their raid was pretty personal.
Tips, advice, wisdom, and more would be great. +k for help.
