Bluegrass

So NS i have recently found that i quite enjoy some Bluegrass. My musical repetuare (sp?) has been some techno and a whole pile of rap. Any other fans of Bluegrass on NS? What are some good bands you enjoy? I personally really enjoy Trampled By Turtles.

I dont know anything about bluegrass but I don't see how I could possibly not enjoy something produced by someone called trampled by turtles.

Hell ya trampled by turtles outta Duluth MN! As soon as I saw bluegrass I was gonna post them but you seem to have it covered.

Big fan of Trampled by Turtles. You should check out Frankenpine, They're pretty awesome.

OP, if you like bluegrass, folk, an related, check out Elliot Brood. Northern Air, and Write It All down are a few good tracks. I think two of his songs were used in Team Canada's JOSS edits.

I do enjoy my Ricky Skaggs and Bill Monroe now and again. but love a few of the local bluegrass bands around my area. they kill it. always a great time seeing them live.

wouldn't call them bluegrass exactly. but Elliott Brood is a kick ass band. Listen to Mountain Meadows o Ambassador through and that's what dreams are made of. Them and The Sadies are definitely my favourite Toronto bands.

Yeah Elliot Brood is more of a folk band. I love how "Canadian" they feel and sound. Perfect "chilling out around the campfire" music. Not the hugest fan of The Sadie's but they are still pretty good.

i really don't listen to bluegrass much, and i feel like a real bluegrass fan might view these guys with contempt, but this is a great cover.
