Camera Tripod/Mount

Planning on getting a gopro or contour but i want to get a reliable mount like the one tom here is using in this video:

put a little bit of tape (like hockey tape or duct tape, doesn't matter as long as it's semi-durable) right near the basket on your pole. Put this mount on there, and you are set. You could use pvc, but if you use the tape, you don't need any other gear and it can just fit in your pocket. you can use this for follow cams and self shots, and its what I use (when I'm not using my full setup)

So if I wanted a whole separate mount i could just use pvc. Also i could just buy this same mount as an extra pole mount...right?

you could, I just don't know why you would want to. If you use your ski pole, you don't need to bring anything else with you, and if you decide to stop filming you simply put the go pro in your pocket and go ski. And yes, either way the pole mount will work as long as you don't get something like 4" pvc
