I was at Momentum last year and you have to ride down through it to get to the Camp of Champs tbar to take you up to get back down the mountain. I personally actually liked the public park better than Momentum's, yeah they didn't have the huge features that Momentum did but they had alot of really fun smaller stuff, and I think there was two probly around 40 foot jumps if I remember correctly. The t-bar line up is super long though like half hour waits so you'd probly end up hiking alot, other than on Sundays which is the day COC sessions switch so they don't ride (thats how it was last year anyways) But yeah public park is pretty sick, I'd say it would be worth it if you couldn't afford a camp.
Thank you so much, +k to both, but marc, do you know how many features they had set up at once? I keep hearing stuff like only 3 features but that can't be true.
Nooo, I was at session 4 and they had a little groomer going doing the middle with park on either side, on the left side was all rails and it had 10 or 15 features and there was jumps and rails on the right side, 2 or 3 jumps I can't remember and maybe 5 or 6 rails? It was fun, it did take them a while to open it every morning though.
I also went to momentum and thought the public park was good. I didn't hit it much but the long t bar lines are really only at lunchtime on the COC t bar I didn't do the public park much (only to get back up out of the glacier but it was fun to flow through) And you'll be in whistler in the summer which is a fucking blast.
I hear you can also buy a season pass for summer at COC as well. IDK why so many people go to Hood instead of Whistler I would definitely go to Whistler if I could!
Thank you all, I will definitely be going, Just one last question, if you check it out here http://www.whistlerblackcomb.com/mountain/hours/index.htm?aheading=0 at the very bottom of the page it says Campers get to go up at 7:30 and public at 11, so do I really have to wait till 11 to go up there our will the lifties let it pass and just let you up?

I dont think that the lifties care if you go up early but the campers go up at like almost nine I remember waking up at 7:30 then going and eating then up so more like campers go up at 8:30
no they wont let you up. Theres no such thing as a summer season pass that gets you up in the morning. The campers get given day passes everyday, so showing them your pass wont do any good. And even if you did get up, the park doesnt open till 11 anyways, so there would be nothing to do other than try to poach camps.
also it starts out being 1 or 2 lanes of rails, and maybe like a hip or mini pipe over by glacier express. Then after a few weeks when dave murray closes, they take over their park with the jumps and everything and make it public
Ya i remember in the beginning of the summer there was another little camp blocking most of public, so it was only rails really (7). Then in the end the camp was done and they turned that space into the public park so they had like 5 or 6 jump line well made. Its a good time for sure especially if you get 2 or more people with you
Yeah well, there was no jump in the public until like the second week of july, we had to wait until the dave murray camp was over ( they just left their setup there), for the sizes, it was like around 40-45 feet, feel free to ask any other questions man!
I'm at public now, the stupid dave murray campers leave in 2 weeks, it's sooooooo easy to poach right now tho, no wristbands, and no-one checks, it's right beside public park, and it's wide open.
