All Mountain Bike Suggestions

ive been looking for a good all mountain bike for this summer because i wanna start doing some downhill-ish trails and some uphill xc rides and my dirt jumper isn't getting the job done. Every bike i have found is super expensive , i want a transition covert but cant find one cheep enough. Any suggestions?

jamis parker. i've ridden whis bike park and XC on that thing. it's awesome, especially if you get an adjustable travel fork.
