Ski shops in MA! +K

Does anyone know any good ski shops in or near Massachusetts. I would like to get bootfitted but I do not know where I should go that will have the best selection. So far I know of Colorado Ski Shop, East Coast Alpine, Summit Ski and boards and Boston Ski and tennis. +K for good answers

http://www.joejonessports.com/ kinda new, I bought my skis from them and they seemed pretty cool, but I'm not sure as to what they do for boots. Oh, and they're in Pembroke on the South Shore.

The guy at Ski Stop in Westwood www.skistopmass.com is supposed to be a legit boot fitter. I've never used them for anything other that binding mounting and may be expensive. Lars at Strands in Worcester is well known as a fitting guru and def knows his stuff. Had Strands make me orthothics like 10 yrs ago still using them. The best boot fitter I know is Dan at Stan and Dans in North Conway NH. Guarantee no one knows more than Dan.

village ski and snowboard in franklin is a good shop for getting your bindings mounted and stuff but i have no idea about the bootfitting there

 There was a guy Lars who was well known for boot fitting...trained with and was a dealer for Strolz. Don't know what's up there now. Def could've changed since then.

RJ Bradley's in Westford. Ask for Matt he know pretty much everything about every make and model, he will make sure you get what you need.

east coast alpine is run by scum bags, all they want to do is make money, even if that means fitting you with an inferior product or one that is not right for you.

strands is racer heaven for gear they dont have any park stuff and they dont know anything about it either. but if you want a tune or other service though, go there they know whats good

EB doesn't sell ski boots you 'tard' plus looking at my icon you can tell i have been there. I have also been to sport thoma and as i recall they are limited in their boots.

not in hadley. i feel like those guys are clueless to what they are doing. the old owners moved down route 9 in hadley to valley ski and bike works. if you're in the amherst/hadley/noho area you should go there.

This, that shop was always a little out of it, valley bike and ski works has their shit together, I know one of the owners and he's a really good guy.

I went to Colorado ski shop to get some new bindings mounted and even though they were a little over an hour away it was totally worth it. I bought a shirt as well and the owner gave me 2 shirts, 2 diecuts, and some bike magazines + a power bar for free. The guy was wicked chill and I talked to him about the rail jams this year. The only thing is that since it's the summer you have to wait till the weekend for your bindings to get mounted cuz the guy who does them only shows up during the weekend or something like that. If you can make the trip there it is well worth it, and get a sub next door to it they're so good.

Thank you to all who were helpful in this thread, I will certainly look at it if I need any new ski equipment again soon. I ended up going to Colorado ski shop in West Springfield, MA. I went to get bootfitted and had a great experience. The boot-fitter sized me up and came out with all his personal recommendations and I tried on 4 different very comfy boots, I tried out the flex and he was knowledgeable in specifically park boots and knew what I would want and need for my kind of skiing. I ended up choosing the Dallbello Voo-Doo because it fit great and I liked the flex a lot. I got it at a steal of a price for $240! I am very happy with my purchase and he gave me a free LINE and CO ski shop tee shirt for free.

Overall I would recommend going for boots or skis, they had a great selection of skis, boots, bikes and snowboards compared to any other shop in MA I've been to. Thanks to CO ski shop for hooking me up, I also managed to go to ^ flags which was great later today.

I went there today at 6:30 to pick up my skis from being mounted and he was saying that you had been trying out boots earlier haha that would have been funny if I ran into you

I second the suggestion for Matt at Rj Bradley's... He gave me a 15% "High School Discount" whatever that means too... You can always negotiate down his prices too.

competitive edge in holyoke, ma is awesome. that's where i used to go until i started heading up to the sports page in queensbury, ny. the sports page is by far the most reputable ski shop i've ever been to. although it's a long ways from eastern mass.
