I just went to this hypnosis show, and I must say, my mind is blown. The way that the guy made everyone sleep, and have them wake up as a totally different person was unbelievable. Some of the scenarios he put his volunteers into included a Nicki Minaj concert, a ballet performance, the Guitar Hero World Championships, and he even convinced everyone that their butts fell off. Also, as his first trick, he made the volunteers temporarily forget their first names. If you ever have a chance to see a hypnosis demonstration, I highly suggest you go see it.
They were all students from my school and were randomly picked out of 400 people. My friend Ben was one of the volunteers, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't perform "Super Bass" in front of the entire High School even if he was paid.
The only one I got since I didn't really care about getting pics. I only had my phone so it's pretty shitty. But this is where they think they're in a dance contest.
they did this at my college freshman orentation, my roomate ran up said he had no idea what he was doing...people were takong their clothes off acting crazy etc, im a believer
hypnosis doesn't work to the extent people think it does. it's just like being drunk. you know what you're doing in the moment and become very suggestible, but it's not like someone has control of you like a marionette, twisting your mind to their will. i'd say most the people that have it done just go with it and remove all inhibition, play things up for the show. but i definitely agree that you feel ultra relaxed and just straight up listen to the guys voice and are in your own zone. my good friend's brother does hypnosis shows and i've been a subject many times. i don't recall much of them, but i certainly know that if i wanted to i could have said "this is stupid, why am i doing this"..
