I loved every single minute of it. I found a great group of close (sadly non-skier ha ha) friends, and we had the time of our lives for four years. However, my amount of time spent on hill was greatly reduced compared to high school. Before I went there, I told myself that education would come first and skiing came second. I wanted to get through college as quick as I could with a major I could ski 3 days plus a week post college. Some people at other universities could ski 4 days and go to class, but I could not. I was paying for my education through scholarships and loans and did not want to make an extra victory lap at 30k a year.
BUT!...every christmas break, fall break, spring break, summer break was spent skiing either on Big Mountain or Mt. Hood. It just made every day I spent on skis that much more special.
I would love to answer anymore Carroll questions like who are the best teachers, what are the best classes, what are some majors, how do I hug the cross on St. Charles, or how to get into the tunnels.
