Who Here Likes Country Music?

I know, odd question, especially on NS. That being said, we've been gettin' our redneck on while building, performing maintenance, and prepping camp for the summer season, and we've found ourselves jamming to a lot of country. IMO it's just good working music, especially some the older and more traditional stuff like Willie Nelson, David Allen Coe, Merle Haggard, Hank Williams Jr. etc. Of course we love our hip-hop and rasta jams for skiing, but we were just curious to see who shares our view on country. Share your opinions and favorite country jams if you have any!

i used to hate country until i heard good country. most people only hear what's on the radio and it's not very good, because it's just pop music, which is annoying in most it's forms until you like upbeat repetitive dribble.

I guess I mean to say mainstream radio. I don't know a lot of them of the top of my head but a lot of the older stuff is really great. Sometimes my bf puts the radio on a local native station and they just play country. So I can tolerate and enjoy it now. I don't like stuff like Garth Brooks or t swift and whatever else along those lines. I obviously can't name much stuff I don't like because i don't like bleeding my ears.

Love it. Hank Will Jr is one of my favorites, also dig new stuff like church, keith, some paisley, shelton, etc. Greatest summer music. Generally just appreciate all music... hated country until last summer, now Im hooked

Used to hate it in highschool because everyone else did. Started listening to it at work and its all i listen to now. I like a lot of the radio shit before they over play it like every single fucking song by rascal flatts and keith urban. If you wanna hee some good stuff check out eric churches older music from his first 2 albums.

I listen to just about anything, but I listen to country the most. Iowa kid.

Springsteen by Eric Church is pretty good. Some of my friends that dont like country say that they enjoy this song..to an extent haha.

Country is the definitive music to jam to in the summer. Honestly can't beat windows down with the girlfriend listening to some country. I've had Luke Bryan's Spring Break 4 EP on repeat since it got sunny. Also been into a bit of Brantley Gilbert lately, here's some of the favorites

I think most people who say they hate country haven't given it a chance. Nothing beats having a beer with the fellas and listening to some country.

country music rocks, brings me back to my small town roots of high school.

and plus there is something about a country concert seeing chicks in a plaid shirt, cowboy hat and boots drinking her beer of choice that is attractive as fuck.

Love country. I've seen Kenny Chesney a couple times, Toby Kieth, and Sugarland. Going to see Brad Paisley and The Band Perry in a few weeks. Can't wait.

If I'm not listening to country, its House music then, especially when cruising with the windows down.

Being from Alberta, country music is in our blood, kinda like southern americans, but i honestly enjoy listening to country music more than any Kanye, Lupe, Cudi, OFWG, and of that rap because it is way easier to relate to, and for the most part, most country songs are all somewhat relatable to. Country music is about hanging out with buddies, chasing girls, drinking beers, and enjoying summer. Who couldn't ask for that. And if you say " Country is too depressing for me" Why? Cuz Manswers said it was the most depressing genre? bullshit. Listen to a few songs on your local pop-country station and you will see what all the hype is about. I love almost every genre of music, dub, rap, indie, yet country has by far stuck out to me in the best music genre i have came across
