Which Computer?

I have searched for laptops for a small bit gaming (MW2, Maybe Skyrim, Minecraft), video editing, and just everything else, I have narrowed my search down to two, and I was hoping that NS could help me find the better choice based on my needs. I would upgrade both laptops to 8 gb ram so ram isn't a problem.

Laptop 1:
Acer Aspire AS5560-Sb613

Laptop 2:
Lenovo Ideapad z575

the lenovo has a much better graphics card (1gb vs 512mb), but I don't know much about amd processors

I would stay away from Acer if I were you. While they have relatively cheap computers, they break very easily and their warranty and service are horrible. And their batteries are complete shit.

Dont go amd, intel is way better for processors. Are you SURE you want a laptop? What is your budget?

JUST BUY A MAC.

Haha JUST KIDDING not starting this fucking argument again.

If I was going to buy a PC I've always heard good things about ASUS. They seem to make pretty solid computers, lenovo doesn't seem too bad either. I wouldn't go with the acer though. I've just heard of some not so good things about them. No matter what though DON'T BUY an HP. Haha , their laptops are terrible just letting you know.

While this is a tiny bit over your price range, I think this will suit you nicely. An Intel i5 processor clocked at 2.5 is money, plus upgrading to 8gb of ram. Then a GT 630 is mad crazy good. I think this is a pretty good deal IMO.

I'm gonna agree with you on this one. I think this will suit you perfectly. Definitely save up a little and I would say get it.

I would stay away from AMD personally. Never heard good things about them.

Things too look into when choosing your computer is. 8GB or ram (DDR3), AT LEAST a quad core processor, (doesn't sound like its in your budget) one SSD or a 10krpm HD, and the ability to overclock the processor.

It depends what codec you are using, but laptops bottleneck at the processor a lot when working with video. Processor will be the most important part for you. If you can, go with an i7.

For those of you saying he needs lots of GPU memory, he wont need it for editing. For gaming then yes you want more.

Editing and gaming really should not be done on a laptop though. I'm saving up now for a gaming computer. I'm gonna be dropping 1.5k on that baby :O
