same ending as in night, tight etc. closest i can get, english is really a wft language when it comes to pronouncing words vs letters.

No. its actually pronounced Sig Tvæit. The Æ is the same sound as the A in several english words. For instance, Lap, Fap, Snack, and so on. Now say Sigg Tv -Æ-it.


But the Æ represents the a in said words. just try...
