I was glad to see an environmental message, but that is not really what I want to get into.
Anyone who says the skiing was subpar is out of their minds. Those guys were absolutely killing it, particularly Kye Peterson. Kye was throwing down 7's off of AK cliffs, and stomping, which is pretty sick. He also skied some pretty big lines, particularly the one at the end. The skiing in the movie was up there with any of the other big mountain flicks. I'm not going to say better, but arguably so, depeding on what you want to see.
I liked the time lapse shots, but I can understand people not being into them. When I watch ski movies, it is usually for a segment or two, not the whole movie. I find myself fast forwarding over the time lapse shots. That does not mean they are not cool, I just won't watch them when I want my ski porn fix.
Most of my cardio exercise is done outside, but when I am forced to do cardio indoors I like to bring the ipad and watch a ski movie while I'm on an eliptical. I don't watch all.i.can as much as some of the others, because of the long lapses. I tend to fast forward to the skiing parts. That is not to say the shots aren't cool, I just don't always want to see them. When sitting down to watch the whole movie, I like the lapses.
Overall, I really liked the flick. I can't believe anyone would criticize the level of skiing, as I thought it was top notch. In fact, I would have given Kye Peterson the best performance award over Sean Petit, though both were sick.
