Your school isn't even in the top 50. In fact Minnesota appears to have most of the top community colleges.
The transfer rate is kinda silly, they might all be transferring to CSU fullerton. So if we have a look at UCLA, only 23% were accepted. That's on the lower end of things...
Also, I went to Cal Poly from Minnesota and after year 1 (tuition was like $12,000 for the first year) tuition was in state and only $3000 a year. It's gone up, but not that much. UofM is around $11,000 a year. Community college for a year will get you in state tuition, but it is absolutely not $50,000. And if you are complaining about being on your own, you should be paying $500 a month in rent or $350 and sharing a bedroom.
There are just so many flaws in your logic.
