I just bought some used skis and they have holes where someone elses bindings where. can i just screw my own bindings into those holes or will they pull out?
Short answer, no. If your boot is the same size as the previous mount, if the of mount was all good, if the holes weren't atripped or mangled when the binding wasn't removed, if the holes didn't get saturated with water during use or after the skis were unmounted, then one could feasibly do it. Either way, you definitely should get them professionally checked before use, and that means going to a shop. Just get it done right, it may save you $50, or end up costing $70,000 when they fail and you end up in the hospital with a broken leg.
