Just curious to see what people have hiked and what they would rate the hike.
I personally have hiked:
Mt. Washington: 9/10 awesome hike (backpacked, stayed at Lake of the Clouds and Madison Hut), had lots of fun just sucked when I reached the top and found out there was a road and a train that went to the top haha ;) Would recommend this to anyone who's up for a challenge.
Breakneck Ridge: 7/10 Nice hike, challenging if your a weekend warrior, not so much if your a weekend warrior under the age of 30 ( no offense older people)
Anthony's Nose: 6/10 Pretty easy, there's more than one way up, there's a set of stairs that leads to a trail which is nice but there's a little more challenging route if you can find it. From the Appalachian trail map walk toward the bear mountain bridge and there will be a silver, metal fence, hike up ALONG that fence and it turns into a little bit of a scramble, makes the hike a little more interesting
Peanut Falls: 7/10 Easy hike, it's a long set of stairs really that drops quickly to the hudson with a stunning waterfall at the bottom. There's also a swing that hangs from a tree that's in the water a bit its really nice place to relax.
Ice Gunks: 8/10 This was a pretty hard hike seeing as we bushwacked the whole way haha. Had to climb up some pretty big rocks and then I almost stepped on a rattle snake (in NY? yea in NY). But it was really cool to go into some of the crevasses and see snow in the middle of the summer. Once you get the the actual ice cave it's cool. You go in that place and it's pit dark with a ladder and it is cold. Definitely worth checking out.
I also go running at Cranberry Lake, it's great trail running but thats it so far, I'm only 19 and I haven't hike'd much but I do these trails a few times a year. I'm looking to do some more hikes in Harriman State Park. So what have you guys and girls hiked?
