What language animals do think in? Like when they need to eat what do they think?

The dolphins may be thinking why are we[dolphins] designed for swimming but the humans can just get in a device they created and swim around, go deeper, faster, catch more fish then we can.

devices ie: This thing down there    ,      and speed boats, submarines, and fishing boats/whatever else we decide to make.



The original point was just why are we the most advanced species mentally,  (Besides elephants  because they never forget - dumb joke is dumb.)

But it's still why are we the most advanced? Just chance, that we evolved this way? So it's just chance that we aren't sitting in caves now as evolved dogs,dolphins, tigers, or something else dominates the planet.

It's just weird to think it was up to chance that we are where we are now, and not dwelling in caves.

It had to be someone. And since it's us, we are able to ask the question, and therefore it seems like a 1 in a million chance, but really it's inevitable.

Evolutionary forces put us where we are, just like they put other species where they are. Different forces at different places and times means we have different species.

As far as the "color is different for everyone" thing, just think about colors like bronze, silver, gold, etc. Those are completely different than the standard rainbow colors, I really doubt everyone would see them differently.

i see what youre saying (sort of) but all waves of visible light that enter your eye are part of the visible spectrum (duh) which spans the colors of the rainbow based on wavelength. So when you see bronze or silver or the weirder metallic colors, you are just seeing different combinations of the same spectrum of light. so assuming we interpret these wavelengths differently and see different colors, that mechanism would apply to all light entering your eye. so everyone's perception of metallics would also be skewed and different.

basically what im saying is; despite the fact that gold and silver are not rainbow colors, all visible light is merely a combination of "rainbow colors" or the visible spectrum, and would be interpreted in the same fashion.

Physically modern humans started out in caves and got to where we are now through generations of hard work and innovation, it wasn't up to chance. Homo sapiens didn't come to exist through chance either, it did so through many predictable forces.

I can't quote it on my tablet but that last part about taking a one year trip at the speed of light got me thinking, I mean how could it be a 3000 year difference if you're only gone I year? Also some of the stuff in there was really neat.

When you hit speeds that fast, time slows down and you relatively only experience that one year, while your brethren at home would be experiencing the usual time. You would age 1 year, while those at home would age more than you because they have physically experienced more time. It's very hard to understand and I hope that helped slightly. I wish I could put it into my physics teacher's words. he explained it very well.

that is not a proof and it is not zero. the limit of 1/x as x->infinity is zero, but 1/infinity is undefined. same goes for 1/0. For all pratical purposes we can say it is zero, but it is NOT. If you say it is you will run into paradoxes.

very interesting. because how can we know for sure? its not like we can see down to an infinite level because microscopes and telescopes all have a limit of some sort. so that is something we just have to kind of assume and roll with

you could think about infinity as an asymptote. you keep increasing the size of a number. it will keep getting closer and closer to infinity, but it will never reach infinity.
i think that works, it is really hard to try and conceptualize such large numbers.

Another way to look at this is to ask yourself if any other number exists other than as a symbol on paper. And the answer is no. Every number is a concept we use to describe instances of reality.

I'm not a mathematician. I know there are different types of infinities and other crazy things. All I know for sure is that 1/0 is not equal to infinity and 1/infinity is not equal to zero. I mean I use these identities all the time when computing stuff but they are not actually mathematically true.

Yep, I was wrong. I think of numbers as values and infinity as endless value/s. Replace "number" with "value" and my post might be more correct.

evolution. Watch nova or go to college. We have the thinking capacity we do because our weak jaw muscles do not hold back our skull from expanding with our minds (punny). The link in our dna that causes us to have these weak jaws is also put back in someone along the strand that is the cause for our opposable thumbs. Dna & Biology, interesting stuff.

You're right...the people that argue against evolution and try to argue against science and stuff usually don't know SHIT. Read the Universe in a Nutshell. It's not fiction one bit, it's life. Take a science course, learn from a prof and a textbook, and quit punching shit into Google and thinking you know what you're talking about. Most people are just undereducated on science and frankly don't know what the fuxk they are even talking about.

this is 0.9999.. written as a continuous series:

0.9999... = 0 + 9(1/10) + 9(1/10)^2 + 9(1/10)^3 + .....


using convergence theory

ax + ax^2 + ax^3 +.... = ax/(1-x)

9(1/10) + 9(1/10)^2 + 9(1/10)^3 + .... = (9(1/10))/(1-(1/10)) = 1

so 0.999.. = 1, meaning 0.00...0001 = 0

Some sort of instinctual thought process. You don't "think" in a language..The concept of [L]anguage is the biologically motivated tendency of humans to organize and label their thoughts. The groundwork is innate..You could think of it in the sense that everyone is born with a series of switches [parameters]. External stimuli [location, family] trigger the status of parameters. If you're interested, Google the Nicaraguan school for the deaf...a very interesting study

With out current understanding of physics, the math breaks down within 2.3x10^-43 of wu tang clan getting fucked with. String theory might hold the answer, but it's at least 30 years from being testable.

Wolfram alpha also says that infinity is not a number. The website clarifies that if you divide 1/x, as x approaches infinity, you approach 0. But the definition of infinity is that you can't reach it, so it asymptotes.

Will y ever equal 0? You could say it will at infinity, but that's the same as saying it never will, because infinity by definition is unattainable.

I went to the lake that day to take the boat out and see how it was running all that kind of stuff.
While loading the boat onto the trailer and ambulance comes to the dock, and shortly after another ambulance towing a seadoo pulled up.
At the time had no idea what was going on but later found out that some guy drowned !

What blows my mind is what human error did they make other than no life jackets to cause that.
Did he flip out of the tube and became unconscious from hitting the water ? If the two others got hypothermia, why were they left in the water for that long.
