I'll keep this short and simple.
Playing in lacrosse game on Wednesday, get slashed on the kneecap (more towards the inside of the knee but nonetheless a direct blow to the kneecap), I regard it as nothing and walk it off.
Yesterday my knee felt weak, as if it is going to buckle on me. Walking didn't hurt very much although bending and unbending the knee hurt, as did the impact of going down any stairs. I miss lacrosse practice because of it, but I am still able to walk around. Very minimal swelling occurs, honestly, I didn't even notice any.
Today, played in another game, went hard, wasn't bothering me much during the game. Fast forward to tonight, 4 hours after the game, knee is swelling (below the kneecap mostly), hurts to bend/unbend more than it previously did, feels weak, hurts to rub kneecap yet when i relax my leg i can shift my kneecap back and forth like normal and that does NOT hurt.
I have done some research and the symptoms seem similar to those of a PCL injury, so I'm wondering, has anybody tore theirs or injured theirs and what was it like? Is it possible to have torn mine yet still be able to walk on it right now?
OH AND YES, I AM GOING TO SEE A REAL DOCTOR TOMORROW SO DON'T TELL ME TO. I'M JUST EAGER TO FIND OUT IF A PCL INJURY IS A POSSIBILITY.
+k for answers guys, really worried this could end my lax season
