Replying to Looking to Switch to DSLR

I've been filming and editing for about 3 years and all I have ever used for cameras are GoPro HD Heros. I like using GoPros but they are limited to a certain point in what you can do with cinematography so I'm thinking of moving into DSLR cameras for filming in the future. I don't know the first thing about what DSLR Cameras are good and what lenses I should use. Please give me any advice you have.
