So, I have been indulging in Season 18 all day today and it dawned on me, why has Jon Olsson not been on Top Gear yet?

He is famous enough, and has more than enough car credibility.

Plus he drives them super hard in abnormal conditions. Lambos werent designed to be run at the temps he his driving them at up in the cold in the mountains. Very small tolerances like those built in a Lambo arent designed for the expansion/contraction that takes place at those temps.

exactly. mr olsson is what is known as an extreme user on the farther end of the heavy/uncommon use spectrum. generally when these cars are built, they are not built with drivers/users like him in mind.

performance and durability are often not conducive with eachother, especially in the case of automobiles

Just bumping this, I'm surprised they haven't had cars race a skier yet, they did it with snowmobiles, guess skis don't really have the force to go anywhere but down.

He hardly blows, he's arguably one of britains top skiers(although that's not saying much haha).

What really pisses me off is how everyone in the uk says woodsy is world #1 just by spinning it however they like.

If you've spent any time on pinkbike, you'd know that Brits love nothing more than to hype up their own athletes without any concern for addressing reality. If you tell it how it is, they freak the fuck out to the point where their tea-rotted teeth fall out of their tea-sucking skulls.

Who the hell watches the interviews anyway. Even if he was on I would still probably fast forward it to just before his time is put on the board. And if on the rare chance I catch it on TV i would just change the channel.

Actually, Tiff Needell did an episode as the 'Emergency Stig' - making it 4 stigs.
