Just finished a quick video for a friend. I tried to make it pretty simple with light color correction. I played with sound design a little and may have gone a little overboard, but it's the first time I put a good effort into it so I'm still learning. What do you all think?

That was awesome! skiing was super smooth.
I think that the edit flowed really well, I can't really give you much that was wrong with it. Maybe some more work with the colors, but they were really fine. There're really fun to play play around with.
Nice job, I loved it

hey so seen this and figured i would offer my opinion.

i liked the clips, and loved the camera work :)

i wasnt a huge fan of the color correction though (it looks like it was a super nice day out, but the cc makes the sky look kinda grey ish)

perhaps maybe a few different transistions between clips, there are a lot of cuts and fades, perhaps experiment more with wipes, or even masks?

maybe a nice little 2d overlay on the intro with name and year? (use a program like cinema 4d or 3ds max)

what program are you using to edit it with?

anyway im also fairly new to the community, although ive had a ton of expierience with editing software, im really new to using cameras so take my advice with a grain of salt. Nice use of effects for just learning though keep up the good work :)

Thanks man!
I've always wanted to work with more intricate titles and intros, but don't really have the experience. Maybe that's something I'll start playing around with now that it's summer. I used Final Cut Pro 7 to edit, but have After Effects at my disposal.

I thought it was pretty good, but the colors killed it for me. It made it seem like you went out there with your gopro. It looked like it was a flat light day judging by the colors but then the sun was completely out, so not sure what happened.

Well if 2d intros are something that your interested in learning a good program to look into is cinema 4d. It's a 3d modeling program, but you can render a animation's alpha channel (background is clear so the clip shows through) and then add it as a layer over your clip in after effects. No better time to learn than summer :) and thanks for the warm welcome
