So I have this muscle tension disease that cause my voluntary muscles to fight eachother or not contract( Myononia Congenita ). Not many people have it around the world and it affects about 1 in 150,000 people. So I have been having this extreme muscle tension problem for three years now and it is permant and painful to move quickly or at all. Fainting goats have this same muscle mutation which causes them to fall over when startled or have to react quickly. Back to the main point. There is no set medication to take for this and it a trial and error situation for most people. In February I had namonia and was put on an antibiotic. On days 4-5-6 I had complete control over my muscle again until it wore off on day 7. They are currently doing another trial with this to see if it works again. If it does it will be a huge break through in the medical field for myotonic patients with the same mutation. If it works others will also be tried for symptom improvement. If it works a diagnosis of the antibiotic could find out what is causing the improvement and create a new medication to help other people like me.
