Kayaks

Hey guys, I think I'm going to buy a kayak pretty soon. I live super close to a beautiful lake that would be perfect. I'm leaning towards a sit on top kayak, so I could fish or lounge around on the lake with some friends, get off, and back in easily. I don't have any experience with kayaks, but I do canoe a lot. Any ideas on what brands/kinds to look for?

Jackson kayaks are the best! Actually, I have close to no experience with kayaking, but everyone tells me Jackson is the best.

Jacksons are great for whitewater but if you're going on a lake. Any sort of sea kayak or sit on top boat will do.

Lots of sit on tops can be had for very reasonable prices. If you're just screwin around on a lake I'd search online for some used boats or maybe even just a big box store like dicks or whatever sports stores are near you. Search for local canoe clubs or kayak websites and you might find good deals on used and save enough to buy the rest of the crap ya need like a pfd(lifevest) and paddle and bags(drybags).

Good luck man, kayaking of any kind is awesome for sure.
