26 and 26.5 are the exact same shell and liner. the only difference is the thickness of the baseboard... I might be using the wrong word there. But, basically, any bootfitter can swap the pieces to convert a 26 to 26.5 and vice versa. The bootfitter I go to doesn't even bother buying half sizes.
I measure to a 28 on my left foot, 27 on my right, and ended up buying a 25 boot haha. Best decision I've ever made.

You don't get foot cramps?

nope. they're nearly impossible to get on if the boot's the slightest bit cold, but are absolutely golden once i'm skiing.
it just takes a couple strong heel kicks to get my heel back in the pocket and the boot fitting properly. i've also got custom footbeds, intuitions, and a couple boot punches that make it all work.

The liner maybe lasted (shaped, not thickness) slightly differently but once you heat mold the liner, any difference the company claims to have made between the whole and half size will vanish.
If you can find the 26.5, just buy it, have it meat molded, and then you'll be good to go.

So even though the liner is about 4mm shorter in the 26 than the 26.5 will it make a difference. - sorry Im not making sense I'm super tired

Production tolerances alone are about 2-3mm, so it won't be a noticeable thing.
When you heat mold an Intuition liner it becomes really soft and you can make them stretch out over 10mm pretty easily. You'll have no issues.
