Skis/Binders or Outerwear?
I'm trying to decide whether to drop money on new skis or use my skis for another year and spend on one of next year's outerwear suits.

My skis are in ok shape, but they are from 2008, and one of the binders' brake is bent and the heel piece doesn't come down all the way
I'm looking for the valuable opinion of Newschoolers.

youre not going to get very legit answers out of nsg but it all depends on the condition of either, if you ski suit isnt waterproof anymore then get a new one, but if your ski is falling apart then get that, if both are failing get the skis, you can deal with being a bit damp, but you cant ski with a broken ski

It's definitely still skiable, as I skiied half the season on it, and it didn't detract from the quality of fun I had, but I just am not sure if it's worth dropping money on a pair of new binders and $40 for a mount, when new skis and binders would be more sensible.

On the outerwear hand, the stuff I have works alright, but its a little small and I look (I know I'm going to get hate for this) *dorky.*

But idk if you will enjoy skiing on the setup you currently have it it won't detract from your experience, go with the outerwear. But a new shred stick for me feels so gooood. And 2008 is pretty damnable old.

if your binders are in any way messed up id say get new skis, if you have left over cash id just look around sell/ trade for some really cheap good looking outerwear

Skis. If shit goes down cuz of a broken ski you wont even have the opportunity to wear that brand new outerwear youd buy with the money. Skis and bindings take priority for sure.

depends on the condition of your other skis. skis are the kind of thing where, personally, i like them old. they're broken in, i know them, i know how they feel, and im not one of those trend whores who needs new sticks every fucking season just cause. outerwear is nice to replace more often since you get bored of your look and like to mix things up a little, but skis.. i want to ride what im comfortable and familiar with. that's just me though. so i'd say get yourself a sweet pair of bindings or maybe some new gear, like a hot new jacket or something.

Hardware is more important.

Have a hoodie?  Cut the sleeves off, BAM, you just earned yourself a new vest.  Have fun with new equipment, and clothing.

boots > skis > bindings > gloves/goggles > everything else

You can layer crappy jackets. Plus, other kids won't expect as much from you when you are skiing.

Yup. I love skiing in some shitty snow pants and a old sweatshirt at the end of the year. It makes every trick look better than it is because it's so unexpected.

I vote bindings.

Yeah I retract my my previous statement. You can get creative with outerwear and still look dope if that is what you are worried about, you can't really get creative with skis and bindings...
