well what do you mean by breaking the bank? something really cheap would be an old nikkor 80-200 f/4 which is a pretty good lens. if you don't like shooting all manual, the canon 70-200 f/4 non-is is awesome and a lot cheaper than other good new telephotos. the sigma 50-150 2.8 is cheapish as well and is a little wider, but make sure to buy used because the quality control at sigma sucks. if you don't want to spend over $500, you can look at a variable aperture 70-300 or whatever

70-200 f/4. Try to get one used on craigslist for 450, with a recent production stamp.

Whats your tripod setup like? If your going to be shooting video at 200mm your going to need a decent tripod to get stable footage, just keep that in mind.
I second the 70-200 F4L non-is, its a great lens, I picked mine up for $500 with the original box and receipt, such a fantastic lens. I'd highly recommend getting a lens collar for it though, it will help keep your camera balanced (more stable footage), you can pick up a knockoff for like $20 on ebay. If you have any more questions feel free to give me a pm.
