Instagram may not be making a camera with its US$1 billion from Facebook, however, someone else might.

Design and communication company ADR Studio has created a concept design of a realistic camera based on the popular photo app.

Called ‘Instagram Socialmatic’, it is a flat touch screen camera with a built in printer and 16GB of storage capacity.

It comes equipped with two different camera lenses—one, your typical camera lens; and the other, for filter shots.

After you have taken a picture and printed it out, a QR code will be produced on your picture what allows other users of the camera to follow your future works by scanning the code.

Here is the kicker— it even has its own WiFi and Bluetooth functions—meaning you can directly share it with your friends through Facebook, without having to print the pictures out!

It may only be a concept design thus far, but hipsters would definitely be eager for this camera to start production!

Right but I think the idea is that it's mainly a camera, which the iPhone is not. I agree, it's very similar but I think that because it's a camera people will be interested in it.

Social media is taking over everywhere. This just gives the people who love it an easier way to use it. The printer is a cool idea because it gives people an easier way to share.

Instagram is stupid but if there is something that 30 million people use... Sell something to that market for $50-100 and get 25% of the people to buy it. Thats $375-750 million dollars in sales... Its worth a try.

I know a handful of professional photographers and other artists, and most of them use Instagram. it's handy when you just want to capture something that you want to share with people. I don't understand all the hate towards it; if you don't like it, don't use it.

Not everyone has a iPhone or Android based phone?

If it was priced cheaply, I would pick it up for kicks and giggles. But looking at the features I doubt itll be affordable.

You know, it's absurdly easy to upload photos to Facebook withOUT Instagram as well...I honestly don't see why this is so popular.

Yeah, sharing snapshots with friends is pretty weird and creepy I guess.

I know that when I posted this, my motivation was to creep out as many people as possible.

It's just as easy to post photos, it's not as easy to view them. When I go on facebook I see status updates, links, videos, photos, and a bunch of other things in my feed. If I want to only see photos, it makes more sense to open instagram.

exactly. and facebook is so useful for other types of communication. it's a great way to keep in touch and up to date with people i've known either as a close friend or even just a casual acquaintance throughout my life. i dont know, ill cut out the bashing, but when i was on instagram for that one evening i was like.. "really? this is it? i upload pictures for random people to creep on and then creep on their pictures too? LOL. deleted."
