Should I buy these skis?

I have been skiing on some really beat up candides for the past 3 seasons. I would say about 60% steeps/rough stuff/pow, 20% hard pack, 20% park. I really want to have some new skis so when the candides just snap in half I will be ready.

I got sick of constant base welds/ptex last year, and just gave up on fixing the core shots, so my core is inevitably starting to rot.

I am looking at getting some new MSPs this year, but I am not sure if they are the right ski, given I have never ridden them, but $435 sounds like a pretty good deal.

I also need to get bindings, but if worse comes to worse, I can take bindings off my old skis. Is there anything that might come as a surprise to me going from a 180 candide to a 180 MSP that I might hate?

Sorry to bore everyone, but $400+ is a lot of money (My candides were $140 w/ bindings)

MSP's would be an excellent choice, so would STL's.... i think the karmas and new skogens would be good choices too, but you might not be able to find them for $400. pollards would be good too probably

I usually don't suggest 4FRNTs, but it sounds like a good fit for what you ski. Spend the money and just treat the skis well. It will be worth it

^ not really...i suggested MSP's because i have them and they rock, but considering he skis hardpack often they might be a little big underfoot, and the other ones are all about high 80's underfoot so they'd still get decent float and be okay in the park.

ok so i'll revise it a little....i meant to just list some midfat twins that were on the stiffer side of the spectrum. so how about karmas, mojos, or stomps? there we go.

I do have some other skis I break out for hard pack - I do some slalom/GS on some weekends, and break out some short K2s. I mainly was using the candides for the off days along with skiercross races. I guess the hard pack doesnt factor in to this. On off days, 70% powder/steeps, 30% park. Really depends on the conditions of the day.
