maybe it's just my personal preference... the 540 switchup was sick and so was the switch dub octo grab, but my favorite shot in that whole video was his first jump, the 5 with a tweaked safety grab
hot damn, that was fucking amazing. one of the best edits of the year no doubt and definitely one of my favorites. so much steeze. Also, 5 swap and the dub truckdriver and the dub octo were nuts as fuck.
oh and also that car was fuckin sick, and Woodsy wished me a happy birthday /claim
That was a really enjoyable edit. Good variety and that's one of the few no poles sequences that I've actually liked. And seeing skis in that kind of car was so weird.
I've seen his old stuff, I just hope he puts out more edits and gets to film with bigger production companies as well as being one of the steeziest guys on the comp circuit.
re-reading your post it seems more of a callout for woodsy for more filming than a call for moar! edits with woods from the past, and i completely agree as much as i am stoked that he is making his name in the comp circuit, there is more to him than a double throwing comp jock and it really showed in this edit. I was speaking to andy collins a couple of weeks ago and he was say this years unity film is going to be more, shorter segs but im still stoked for it.
For sure, him and Vincent have the sickest. More people need to do that grab, it's insane! Off the top of my head I can only name 5 skiers that do: Woodsy, Gagnier brothers, Hatveit, and Charley Ager.
I'm such a massive fan of Woodsy - not just cause he's a Brit and learned on a dryslope, but I genuinely think he represents a good (IMO) combination of tech and style that looks good in competitions and makes a solid edit.
I hope he gets more recognition in the next few years. He totally kills it.
