Ahh, it's so confusing!

Every year an independent tax watchdog group analyzes the average tax burden
on Americans, and then calculates the “Tax Freedom Day'. This is the day after
which the money you earn goes to you, not the
government.

This year, tax freedom day was April 11th. That's the earliest it has been
since 1991. Its latest day ever was May 2nd, which occurred in 2000. Notice
anything special about those dates?

Recently, John Kerry gave a speech in which he claimed Americans are actually
paying more taxes under Bush, despite the tax cuts. He gave no explanation
and provided no data for this claim.

Another interesting fact: Both George Bush and John Kerry are wealthy men.
Bush owns only one home, his ranch in Texas. Kerry owns 4 mansions, all worth
several million dollars. (His ski resort home in Idaho is an old barn brought
over from Europe in pieces. Not your average A-frame).

Bush paid $250,000 in taxes this year; Kerry paid $90,000. Does that sound
right? The man who wants to raise your taxes obviously has figured out a way to
avoid paying his own.

Although some of it brings up a good point, the fact is that most of those situations cant really be put in the same sentence and so it doesnt hold water. Criticism has gotten more potent over the last 5 years or so though.

I think it in general is a fair piece, but some of the things arent really related so it could go either way. It really does show another side to it rather than what you hear on CNN. Also, the thing about bosnia and serbia being worse than Iraq??? You have got to be joking me buddy.

Bosnia was a fuckin disater when we went in, in sarajevo alone the serbs were just lobbing in morter shells and killing civilians, they were even targeting children. When we went into Iraq it wasn't nearly anything like that.

HAHAHAHAHA CLinton was a terrible and horrible president its just the fact that he is a very good looking person who knows how to mold the public and is a great speaker thats where the good qualities end look at what he actually did in office NOTHING. And if you try to say the economy was so great under him i will laugh harder because he had ABSOLUTELY NO affect on the economy during the 90s, mismanaged the office, let terrorism get out of hand thats why it is the way it is today. The wh9ole Monica thing is peanuts compared to him cover his asss about it and lying to us regardless of what you say that is some bullshit. I don't give a shit about the rest of the claims, just this one. Clinton had three chances to capture Bin Laden and he chose not to. What the fuck? It pisses me off when you say that a man who had public enemy no. in his hand on three occasions and let him go is a great president. Yes he was charismatic and he was a excellent orator, but he was a poor president. Really, Clinton had a chance to stop 9/11 and failed to do so, that is just sad that yall think of him as a good leader and president.

bigJ, I know it's a different person, but could you try to defend this after what you just said please?





all I'm saying is that people become more of a threat over time. at the time this pic was taken, obviously the US and Saddam were on different terms. Although this was further back then the clinton era, we were still on somewhat different terms with bin laden. 9/11 hadn't happened, and he wasn't the number on threat in the world. It's like the guy who COULD'VE shot Hitler in the first world war but didn't, becuase he went for a higher ranking official.

anew... notice the quotes? maybe bush was lied to, but he made the wrong call anyways. he hasn't been punished. Clinton should never have been put before a grand jury in my opinion. there have been tons of presidents who had mitresses. I have no problem with him. okay, so let me get this straight... because im a bit confused... you, kerry, and the president, all went into the war on the same info, same impression that it was the thing to do. but now, you and kerry see it was wrong. um... i think everyone, president included sees that the situation is not what everyone thought it was, and so now the difference is that the president wants to stay till the job is done, kerry wants to stay till the job is done, and you? i dont know. but the point here is that everyone is on the same page. you and mr kerry arent somehow able to teleport back to 2002 are you? because that is the only way that what youre saying could have any realevance whatsoever.
