Dudes, with the summer close to here, the trampoline is out and I am trying stuff. But sadly I am a pussy when it comes to straight backflips. Off axis flips seem to come easier to me. How the hell do I do a clean backflip on the trampoine?
I had a problem like this one summer... after I had already learned them....
Anyway, I remembered how to do flat 3's, and just made them more and more inverted. SO I went from flat 3, to whackflip, to backflip.
Another way to look at it would be to kinda transition from a lincoln to a backflip. So if I can explain this right, it might help. So you spot some object in front of you the whole way through a lincoln, just like always. Then next time, when setting up for the lincoln, spot the same object, but with your body turned slightly (so your head is turned to spot the object, maybe 45 degrees off from neutral). Keep going this way until your head is turned 90 degrees from neutral. Notice that the rotation your body is doing is a backflip. SO from there, just do the same body rotation, but with your head straight.
I hope that makes sense haha... That's how I learned them in the first place.
trust me you will get bored (or i did) of doing the same easy tricks and you will just go for it. you just have to commit and huck it really hard your first time and probably fall but by then you will want it and try it till you land. after your first time youll think why was i so scared. afterall its just trampoline
what i did when i learned them was started throwing corks and basically worked myself up, so changed the angle every time until i eventually just did it.
ask a buddy or 2 to help you, they should hold a hand/arm behind your back, and grab your hamstrings with the other, then when you jump and tuck for the flip, they can assist/correct your spin by throwing your legs over your head, and if needed can catch or break your fall ...
front flips are so much harder than backs so being able to dub front but not backflip is just you being a pussy. just jump straight up, not backwards at all and pull your knees up as hard as you can. you have to keep the movement fluid and continuous, you stall out when you try to jerk it around
I think they are easier then frontfilps just bouce off your toes look back and make sure you bring your legs back with it and tuck if that makes sense. then just start airing them out
are soooooooooo fucking easy ,
I used to be so scared of a back spin/flip (I.E flatspin rodeos backflips etc corks )
but just go for it once youll get over the scare faster , then , its just so easy
granted backflips are scarier to learn but they are 10x easier to land. just go for it. it takes a bit of sacin up but youll get it. btw i tought my sister to backflip in about an hour so if she can do it you can do it.
