Yes because there are certain lines that once you cross them your are no longer fit to ever reenter society and it is unfair to ask law abiding citizens to house, feed and provide medical care to pieces of shit who will rot in jail anyway. It's a waste of money and an abortion of justice not to neutralize some people. Most important reason some people deserve it...

No. Its already been proven that mistakes are made and innocent people get killed, and the way our justice system works its not like its any cheaper anyways.

But mostly just because our justice system isn't perfect, and the last thing I want is an innocent man getting executed.

Yes, but the US is killing criminals far too humanely. When little kids are murdered they're not strapped down and fed chemicals in a humane process. So why should the scum that killed them be? One bullet to the head is all it takes.

I am for it, some people do too much twisted and sick things to others. I watched Into the Abyss which doesn't address whether we should or shouldn't use it, but just looks at the different perspectives of people who have dealt with something like this. Murderer, the victims family, police officers and some insight from whose job it was to execute. Check out the trailer

It really depends on the case IMO.

a school shooter for example, should face the death penalty.

a more clear cut murder case It should be left up to the judge/jury based on the evidence produced during trial.


There was a show on discovery about the death penalty and death row, it showed the one prison in Texas where all of the executions take place in the state. To get to the point, there is a lot of psychological shit that is a huge form of punishment. First the prisoner is moved to the death house, where they will spend the last 24 hours of their life, they have to fill out paperwork on: their last meal, people that they want to notify of their execution, how they want to be executed. I could not imagine how hard it is to fill out that form. Just think about being served your last meal, and you know that it is your last meal. Then the walk to the execution chamber. I couldnt imagine how hard mentally that is for a person.

It does depend on the case. But screw the psychological effects at the end. The psychological shit that any murderer's victim's entire family has to go through is much worse, and everlasting. Imagine having to go your entire life knowing perhaps your young innocent daughter was beaten, raped, and stabbed to death.

I'm conservative as fuck and i don't believe in the death penalty most of the time because of the chance that an innocent person is wrongly accused. However, if there's some fuckhead that's going to cost a lot of money to keep in for a life sentence or more and he confesses, boom surprise death sentence nobody knows is going on.
I don't believe in an eye for an eye but you can't say that there are people incarcerated that deserve to live, even if it's living in a box.
There is a really fucked video on www.vice.com about prisons in Siberia and it's fucked but i'm sure it's been posted before.

I'm a conservative, and yes I believe in the death penalty. There's no reason why not to have it. People qualifying for the death penalty are the worst of worst in society, brutal murderers who showed their victims no sympathy, why should we show them sympathy. Oh and the lol at the tards in here who say it's a waste of money. Do you know how much housing an inmate for 20+ years costs?

If people are going to be in jail for the rest of your life then yes it is nessary. Or if something so sickening happens then yes. I would rather be dead then live in a cell for the rest of my life

I'm for whatever is worse on a case by case scenario. Some people do horrible things because they want to die or are comfortable with dying (i.e. suicide bombers, ppl in murder/suicide situations) so they obviously have no fear of dying - stick them in a box and let them rot

Other ppl kill and genuinely fear death - give them the chair, take their life away

I'm all for being fair, you bleeding hearts are all the same until something hits just a little too close to home..then you'll realize there are some truly terrible people in this world

congratulations, I'm not talking lethal injection, yes that costs way too much. I'm for electrocution. It's just as humane, you don't feel anything because once the electrons hit your body you're done. Costs very little.

Also, why should I be spending my tax money of keeping some worthless piece of shit alive for a life sentence? At upwards of $45,000/yr it is not cheap to keep someone in jail for an entire life

let me be more clear, I am for the death penalty. I feel that the psychological effects is what make it what so rough for the criminal which is a good thing. Life in prison is a waste, especially with how over crowded our prisons are right now.


and the prisoner DOES have the right to choose how he wants to be executed.

Abortion: I believe you should legally be able to get an abortion within the first 3 months of pregnancy, personally I am opposed to abortion and I wouldn't want my child to be aborted under most circumstances

Euthanasia- Its a tricky subject, I think people should sign an agreement for what you would want to happen to you if you were put in that type of scenerio, but this is pretty unrealistic so... I don't really have a fully formed opinion on this.

Death Penalty- I'm against it, I think life sentence is just as bad if not worse. I don't think death penalty is really nessassary, I do believe in second chances (corny) and that with hard time in jail people can change. This doesn't mean mass murderers should be let out of jail if they have a change in heart, but they do deserve a chance to live in jail.

I do not mean to offend anyone who disagrees with me I just wanna shed some light on my opinions on these subjects.
