Polar bear vs. Silver-back Gorilla.

Me and a friend were having a discussion about which would be better. Being a Polar bear or a Silver-back Gorilla. Which one?

polar bear all the way because: as mentioned before they are designed to kill, there fucking huge (in the old anchorage airport there was a stuffed polar bear and it was probably 10 feet tall standing on its hind legs), they eat things like humans. never heard of a person being eaten by a gorilla.

its kinda funny actually, in Barrow and Nome Alaska on halloween they occasionally have to have police officers stationed around the streets to protect little munchkins from becoming polar bear dinner.

I'd have to say Gorilla because they are CRAZY strong and huge. Have you ever watched gorillas at the zoo? They are scary but so interesting to watch because they are so much like us but so huge and so intelligent. One time I was at the zoo in Canada and a gorilla was going crazy and bashing it's body into the 6 inch plexiglass walls at full speed and I thought it was going to break through.

You are completely wrong. In a vacuum you couldn't even inhale in order to smell. Any air inside you would quickly get sucked out, of every orifice in fact. Auto-fart.

Well if you fart into a vacuum, you are letting gas into the vacuum therefore it has a pressure in there however small it may be. So yes, i say you can smell

Oh. Well I can speak from experience in saying YES it fuckin reaks, my dad used to rip bad ones into the shop vac while we were doing carpentry together, and bomb the room in seconds. Pretty gross. You guys do know a vacuum has an exhaust...the air doesn't just disappear obviously....the filter doesn't remove much of the shit smell.

Actually, it does not "smell." well, not necessarily. Space, or similarly a vacuum, is absolute zero -270 degrees Celcius. In other words, in a vacuum, "there is no temperature." Methane (the smelly chemical in farts) freezes at -182.5 degrees Celcius. In microgravity (space) the frozen methane crystals might waft into your nose, whether or not you could "smell" those crystals is debatable. On earth, in a vacuum, the crystals would hit the ground, and therefore you would not have any chance to smell the fart.

Of course it would, although we cannot create a perfect vacuum with current means, if we could, there are no air molecules, nothing moving, so the temperature would theoretically drop to absolute zero, if not below -182.5. If while the vacuum was being created, you farted, you could smell it, as diffusion could occur.

According to Outdoor Life and the life book of world records, the largest polar bear ever recorded was 2,210 pounds and 11 feet in height. The polar bear was recorded after being shot in Kotzebue Sound, Alaska in 1960. The carcass was displayed at the Seattle World's Fair in 1962.

Gorilla.

-They live in groop so they are more used to combat then polar bears
-Taller arms/better reach
-Gorilla will go for punch, wich will hurt the bear more then his scratch
-Similar weight (checked). Polar bear have lots of fat for summer when they can't hunt tho.
-Probably similar bite power

i think that was clubfoot, who was the last grizzly to be found in southern or/ northern ca. i think they pulled a quart jar of lead out of him.

I think the gorilla has more bite power but all of the polar bears teeth are made for killing. The gorilla's teeth are made for crushing bamboo
