DMT Anyone?

DMT stands for Dimethyltryptamine

I came across some weird ass website that was explaining the drug DMT, which I've never heard of. I looked it up and found it to be in a crystal like form, and it has to be smoked.

It's a hallucinogen, and fucks your shit up.

Has anyone tried DMT? Sounds creep as shit, like meth mixed with acid.

psychadelics can cause mental breakdowns in mentally unstable people and can lead to some potentially risky behavior (generally in mentally unstable people), but as balto said, there are so many benefits. i read about a summary that showed that a majority of people who do mushrooms, even if its once, experience a positive change in brain behavior (in terms of motivation, concentration, outlook, etc.) that can last years after the trip.


however, i'm not so sure about that person that knows somebody who does a few lines every day. while there are a lot of people who do significantly more than that daily, somebody who does coke daily, even if they can balance it with their professional and social lives and not become very dependent, is putting themselves in a bad spot. that stuff wreaks havoc on your sinuses, and also greatly increases the rate at which gray matter deteriorates in your brain (i think it triples the rate of deterioration if the person is dependent). i'd be curious to know how easily that person would be able to stop using coke if they didn't HAVE to. cocaine is way sketchier than psychadelics in multiple ways.

you do realize that the "saw a light" DMT secretion HYPOTHESIS has never been proven?

Yes, a "clinical" study was undertaken, but the results were inconclusive. At least get some credible information/ sources before you start spewing info

I'm not saying its not possible that the pineal gland secretes massive amounts of DMT at death/ in near death experiences, but there is ZERO evidence aside from hypothesized ideas from Rick Strassman

As you said earlier, Google is your friend...

There is a lot of ignorance in this thread. I have never done DMT, but at some point I will be doing it.

Our culture has conditioned everyone to lump all drugs into one category of bad. I believed all the cultural shit about Pyschadelic drugs for a while. I assumed that they fucked up your head and that they jeopardized your future.

However, what psychadelic drugs do is throw you into introversion. At least that is what they have done for me. These type of drugs take you out of your own little world and show you the bigger picture of everything. I have learned a lot about myself and culture in which we live through smoking weed and the occasional shroom trip.

We all get caught up in our own little lives and our own little realities. We clear a little patch of ground and cling on to it for comfort. For example, I identify myself as a quiet person, who likes to ski, has a hard time socializing, thinks  negatively often, and hopes to own a company. Throughout all of our lives, we get caught up in the appearance of ourselves and our ego. We begin to identify ourselves in how exactly we fit into the world.

What psychadelics do is take you out of this little world. Your perception is altered in such a way that you look at trees differently, you look at people differently, you understand your own world better, and you see straight through the bullshit.

As I said, I used to be extremely conditoned to fear these drugs and look down upon people who use them. After my own experiences though, I am all for pyschadelic drug use. It is immediate therapy for yourself. I understand my own life better and the world itself better after doing looking at life through the different lenses that these drugs show you.

What these drugs have shown me is that reality is completely what you make it. Life is in the art of perception. What I mean by this is that if you think you can't do something and your down about a girl, its your head that's creating these problems. You have the option to not worry about the girl and think that you can do something. Life is all how you perceive it. If you can understand this fact, it gives you such piece of mind. I have arrived at this conclusion. My outlook on life and the way I see things has improved so much since my younger years and its all attributable to drugs.

To those of you saying drugs are for losers yada yada yada, its compete bullshit. One of my favorite quotes in regards to psychadelics is "Pyschadelic drugs use causes psychotic behavior in people who haven't taken them."

Do your own research on this subject matter and make your own decisions. Don't let the culture, your friends, or your parents tell you otherwise.

The only people who have sketch ass trips are people who try to control and fight the chemical. It is your own fault if you have a shitty trip.

touching dmt with an open flame in a bowl of weed is a huge waste, you are destroying a huge amount of it, it NEEDS to be freebased to get the full affects

I have never once heard of or seen anyone with the ability to stand up and move around when on it, not to mention the trip lasts no more then 15 min so thats not a lot of time to do "stupid shit", not that you would have the ability to in the first place

and no it does not fuck your brain up in anyway way shape or form, scientists have done tests on it and it is 100% safe physically (if you are weak minded and have physiological problems from it thats your own fault and you probably shouldn't be doing hallucinogens in the first place)

i feel like if he felt like it was a 'sketch ass trip,' had the ability to actually walk around, and was just throwing some on top of a weed bowl, he definitely hasn't really DONE dmt. huge difference between a weird dmt trip and legitimately breaking through

idk about a "tool for exploring depths of your mind" maybe thats because i only got that the first few trips, then it was just a trip. But the first time i took shrooms or cid, idk if i would say i felt fucked up necesarrily but i was definitely blacked out status, no comprehension of the real world at all. after that ive felt more and more 'normal' the closest thing i can relate to exploring the depths of my mind is realizing how to pull thoughts from memory and realize the natural fractal organization my mind has built itself into from all of my experiences from birth on. -my 2 cents


oh and Balto is completely right about dmt. I think doing that stuff regularly dims your life down way too much just likely any hallucinogen

I made a pretty solid batch of DMT that i was able to extract from for a few months (and possibly longer, i threw it out after 1 solid trip)....i did have access to a chem supply at a university though. this did help.

1: you gotta take it all in one hit or else it won't work
2: get a glass or something to put the pipe (crackpipe works best) in after you take the hit, cuz you're gonna go into a trance and you don't wanna burn your house down.
3: for me, I won't do it again. the human mind is not designed/meant for that kind of information overload/enlightenment. if you believe in god, don't do it. it changed my life, and that was something I wasn't ready for when I was a college kid experimenting w/ drugs.

So I did some research it looks to be the proper dosage for a first timer is roughly 20-40mg, I'd just use about 30. What would the street price be for such an amount? Preferably from someone who uses it and has experience.

its a naturally occuring chemical in your brain. my understanding is that when you take it, you essentially go into the most intense, realistic dream you can possibly imagine. just make sure that if you try it, you do it in a safe place, with someone sober who you trust to watch over you in case things go wrong your first time.

What I did on accident wasn't N,N-DMT. It was a synthetic structurally similar to it, still tripped nuts but not the same. and DMT is not even close to meth mixed with acid.. And kravtZ what the fuck are you in about,? Lol of course they get defensive when unknowledgabke people speak on something they know nothing about. lol @ some of the posts in this thread

a friend of mine has done it, he did it while he was on shrooms. he went into a trancelike state for a few minutes and then was able to stand up. there were geometrical shimmering lights, almost like faded light outlines around everything. of course the shrooms were kicked up a notch, but he rode it like a wave. it didn't "blast off" so much as build up, cause a crazy amount of hallucinations (didn't "break through"), and then had lasting residuals.

I hear that if you do it just on it's own though, you really get the full sobriety to tripping blast off feeling that makes DMT so confusing normally. I really wouldn't mind trying ayahuasca sometime in a ritualistic setting...I hear that is very interesting and purging. Paradigm changing, permanently if you will.

Ayahuasca sounds interesting but personally I'd rather smoke some by myself in my own setting. I've heard ayahuasca is a much longer but less intense in terms of being straight out of reality and if I do DMT I wanna break through to that beyond that people describe. Also I feel more comfortable tripping in my own controlled setting like my room by myself, rather than with a group of people and a shaman in a ritualistic setting. I guess it just depends on the experience you look to take away from it.
