the game changer has a replaceable base plate, and the Home wrecker has an edgeless design. any one have these yet, Id like to see some real pictures apart from what they have on their site.
Hopefully this exercise in retardation will be the final nail in the coffin for this joke of a company. Can't wait for the first kid to show up to his mid western ice hill on a ski with no edges, and wondering why he can't ski them.
Why would you say something like that? This is a company that helped launch the careers of Mik d and henrik, two of the most influential people to hit the freeskiing scene. Whether you like it or not, ninth has had a profound impact on the skiing community over the years, albeit with a little hoolumisim
I really hope you end up eating your own words, because I'd actually like to see ninth succeed with something like this
i feel like both of these skiers would have blown up without ninthward, thats like saying michael jordan would not have been amazing unless he played for the bulls. also, henrik chose 9th, not the other way around.
props to ninthward for biting the bullet on this one. however as noted the price is insane and idk about anyone else but how could u buy a ski with no visible image of those technologies? im very skeptical to both of these
Market Suggested Retail Price, and a classic thing for ski companies to do is publish a high MSRP, allowing retailers to undercut that greatly, making the consumer feel like he or she is getting a deal.
Not really, the brand selling direct is going to sell for msrp, they can't undercut the price they tell shops to sell them for or no shop will carry them. Shops pay a largely discounted price for the ski an can set what ever price they want, which sometimes leads to them selling for a bit under msrp, but not always
The Manufacturers do give specific guidelines to how things can be sold though.
Everyone has an absolute bottom price set be the manufacturer which no one can sell lower then, this pertains to internet retailers in particular so they do not put small shops out of business. Shops can also not sell the skis/boards online if they do not have an online store, so a shop can't sell product on craigslist or ebay, until the product is 2 seasons old typically
Im interested to see any reviews these get. I would call for 9 to give a pair to a mod or well known intelligent NS member so that they can write up a serious review of them. I am really excited to hear reviews after some people have ridden them.
if the home wrecker really has no edges at all, thats a awful idea even if you have the monies to buy a pair of urban specific skis. game changer could work, but i dont see how you can remove the edges but still get them to stay in
Ski some 9s and then comment on the skis. The butterlicious remain the best skis Ive ever ridden, and Ive skied more skis then I can count. I have my butters from 5 seasons, beating the piss out of them, and they still ski fine.
