If its turned off and you don't turn it back on, then stick it in rice. If you've tried to turn it on, or it was on in the rain, then don't bother

put it in a bowl filled with rubbing alcohol and then put the bowl in the freezer for 3 days and then take it out and put it in a bowl of rice and let it sit for 5 hours. The alcohol should clean the phone inside and out and putting it in the freezer will prevent corrosion. The rice will obviously dry it out and you should have a fully functional phone once all the steps are completed.

^that's a hassle. I would leave it in rice (for up to 2 weeks). The key thing is don't turn it on, it may short.

I jumped into a lake last summer with my phone, put it in rice for a day or two and it still works just the same.

dont be impatient with the rice. it could take a week maybe 2 to take effect.
my friend left his ipod nano in rice for a year, found it and it worked.
also, another friend of mine put his ipod shuffle in the microwave for 2 seconds after it got wet. it sparked, he took it out, and it worked.

yeah rice definitely works. except take it apart. If you have a sim card, take that out and take the battery out and put them all in rice. You can put them all in one bowl if you have a big enough one. but submerge them all in rice for like a little over a week and it should all work.

my phone has ended up at the bottom at the pool two different times and it still works
i would just let it sit in a bag of rice and go without my phone for like a week. i kinda like not having a phone, its overrated
