So for an English class assignment our class was supposed to write a 6-10 line poem that uses personification. I wanted to test my right to speech, so I wrote a poem about smoking marijuana. I emailed it to my teacher so I could get a grade, and she sent it on to the school administration as well as my parents. There is no doubt in my mind that it was a bad idea... but if you were in the teachers situation, would you have done the same thing?
Poem:
They say its an addiction, I say its a way to cope
It aint a big deal, I just really like to toke
Its just a fricking herb, nothing more than a flower
he has always been there, even in my darkest hour
It gets me through shit, it gives me the power
It gets me high, like im standing on the tallest tower
And it always tastes like fruity like nerds on a rope
cuz I only get the best from the left, west coast
