1) Same principle as roller blades for turning, I'd guess.
2) I don't think that they're intended to slide rails

also how do you stop on these things? you cant stop like you do on skis, and you cant pizza cuz of the wheels.
sounds like a disaster at any skatepark

from where the wheels are (looks to be 2 out where your traditional contact point would be then one either end of the boot) you dont have much more grind space than rollerblades . grinds on a parkboard are a no go with the amount of wheels and to the guy who said how do you stop, like your on rollerblades. there are a crosscountry style ski with wheels like these and thats the only way i could see you coming close to these skis aside from just getting rollerblades. imo rollerblades get a bad enough rap for looking gay i cant imagine what people would think of this. the park board would be fun like a longboard to cruise around on but why not just get a longboard. i dont see a big enough market to sell these.

I worked at Camp Woodward PA last summer and will be working at Woodward Tahoe this summer. I have ridden and tested the roller skis. They kick ass. But I'm just going to answer some questions.

1) Can you grind on roller skis?

Yes, but it would have to be nose/ tail slide because 2 of the 6 wheels are directly under your feet.

2) How do you stop/ slow down?

Well, you don't really. In most cases though you are dropping into the foam pit or skiing a line through the skate park and once you get to a low enough speed you can just jump and 90 to completely stop.

3)Where can I buy them?

You can't. They're not for sale and are being produced specifically for woodward. So stop making threads asking and just go to Woodward Tahoe and try them!
