If you are going to vote in the next election and you are going to vote for Obama because hes black, you think he going to give you more welfare money, or you think he will actually fix any problems with the country please read this:

There was a documentary about how fox news is so ridiculously biased and they sent a reporter to the regan presidential center or whatever to cover his birthday and there was no one there haha.
The vote is definitely the lesser of two evils; I definitely like Paul's foreign policy platform, but the fact that he's against abortion totally gets me. I'm neither for or against it, but at least give someone the right to choose.
I guess I'll vote for Obama, but maybe I'll just not vote; I don't really feel like I'm a part of American anyways, though I'm a citizen.

In the end, let's face it, the political machine is a media hype-wagon; in 99% of cases, presidential policies aren't going to affect my daily life--I think it's more important to elect a state representative that is more aligned with your views and know how to contact him/her. That way if there's a specific piece of legislation going through congress (that won't end in gridlock) you can send an email or call them. For instance, I contacted my senator about a bill that would affect public transportations, parks, and walkable cities--this is important stuff that affects my daily life so I made a point to share my views.

To the Dutch guy and those arguing him: I'm willing to bet that he certainly knows as much about our politics as we do because, essentially, they come from the same source. The media is all the same, just presented in light of said organization's biases. Kudos for stepping up and presenting a logical argument; our foreign policy is absolutely ridiculous, we have no right being the world police and enforcing our ideals on others, and we are in no way better than others, personally, I'd argue we're far worse.

I haven't really read anything about the whole fox debate on here, but the only thing that's sure is that the American media are shit. The whole media are owned by Jews (and I'm not saying that as a bad thing) but and is just bad. CNN (which is also ruled by Jews) is ok, but for the best news you shouldn't be reading American news.

At least Obama isn't quite as bad as Harper up here in Canada.

Just within the last couple days proof finally came out that the robocalls misleading known NDP and Liberal voters so they wouldn't go to the right voting station indeed came from a Conservative.

That is serious election fraud and could easily be the reason they won a majority.

Also that's the kind of shit you expect in Soviet Russia, not in Canada.

Section 1 article 2 of the US constitution says that you need to be a "natural born citizen" to be eligible for the presidency. Arnold Schwarzenegger was born in Austria and is a naturalized citizen. You'd need to amend the constitution for him to be eligible.

As someone who has spent a fair amount of time studying politics in the state of California I am severely disappointed by Arnold's leadership. He swept into power under such a mandate to reform and change the errors of his predecessor and really was not able to accomplish that much. He still resorted to the same sort of kick the can down the road accounting tricks which change nothing but make it harder in the future to make proper spending and cutting decisions.

With someone who many people thought might actually be able to work with both sides and accomplish great things, disappointing.

Here is what I really don't understand about birthers. His birth announcement ran in BOTH Honolulu newspapers. It was so much of a conspiracy that they had the newspaper editors at the time of his BIRTH involved, knowing that decades later he would run for president?
