Helmets

Anybody know what helmets are the best. Haven't bought a helmet for awhile. Using an old protec from like 2000. Looking for something from POC or Giro. Don't want a gaper helmet or racer because they look stupid. Normal park helmet. Built in headphones if possible.

i had a poc recptor bug , it is a sick helmet, fit nice, and i hit my head faily hard on a box. and my head was fine, i got a minor concussion but the helmet cracked in 2 places. gunna pick up another one soon, i reccomend it.

I'm looking at the Receptor. Does the whole series have built in headphones or just the one. Looking at t hall's and tj's model.

I really liked my RED Mutiny. It was really warm and fit super well. I landed on my head a lot, and hit lots of rails and trees with it no problem. It was a bit too snug to wear a beanie under/put the goggle strap under the helmet, but the RED "goggle gasket" always kept my forehead warm.
After about 4 years of riding and hard landings, the inner foam started to come out, and I don't trust it anymore for protection.
I just picked up a BERN Hardhat, and I'm pretty stoked about that, but it doesn't fit as well as the RED did.
Also, I cracked a Giro 9 hitting a tree... It was a really light helmet, but it was also useless after one hard crash.

I would take a look at RED.

If u like the thall one, just buy it and then grab the audio hookups poc/skullcandy sell. thats what i did for mine, and i love it

The Rambler looks so dope. I like purple or acetone green.

How easy are they to get in the US? If I hadn't bought this Bern for 20 bucks, I'd be all over that.

You should be careful with bern as some are "hardhats" instead of helmets, which aren't safe..

Remember guys, safety first, that's what I always say.

Whoa, good call dude. I didn't realize it wasn't a fully fledged helmet. That's kinda deceptive advertising, I know a lot of people who ride the soft foam in the park and probably don't know the difference.
I bought it new, but the box and paperwork were all gone. I wasn't planning on using it for park, it was gonna be my backcountry helmet, but I guess this means I should start looking into a new park helmet :(

Looks like I'm gonna have to save up for a new RED or something.
