This might be a repost but whatever everything is a repost these days... So whenever i try to hippie killer i can never get my ski to get out from under me. and when i do get it out its already way to late and i cant even press onto the box/rail to spin. Any ideas that could kelp?
start out by getting comfortable sliding on your front ski first. Then eventually start trying to bring your back ski around. Dont worry about using that ski to spin yourself until you get comfortable with the movements. That is how i learned them
Also you might wanna try lifting your front ski up and doing what your supposed to do with your front ski with the back ski. It doesnt really help to much to learn the trick but it is an easy way to get used to the feeling of what happens if you know what i mean. This way you wont be surprised when you try the real thing
Try lining up the centre of your ski with the right hand side of the box if you are right foot froward and left if you are left foot forward. Also if you have a long enough box start off ski slide then change to sideway and it feels really natural like at 1:20 in this vid https://www.newschoolers.com/membervideo/316729.0/Jamie-Adcock-March-8th-Park-Laps?s=147085
Really just takes lots of practice to make sure all your weight is on the front foot, Once you got it on lock it feels super easy.
