Making a longboard deck

I want to make a deck with the dimensions of a landyachtz 9to5.
Anyone had any experience with the wood type,tools needed,adhesive,or shape please respond or pm me. thanks

Go check out silverfish, its like the ns of longboarding. Everything you need is there.

Look on silverfish board building forums, but search cause all the info is there. Most common woods are baltic birch and maple. You'l need some form of pressing the plies and some other things. Go read up on it. It's not super hard, but it's also not easy. And the initial investment to make the board is probably more than buying it.

yo i just made one its not that hard, use baltic birch and get 4 1/8in sheets of it and glue them togeather while the board is in a press to bend it and you need some clamps, a drill, a jigsaw and u will want an electric sander hope this helps

get like 4 peices of plywood and tape them together then mount truck on there you should be good

I am looking into making a longboard deck also. I have all the tools needed like sander, drill, jigsaw, clamps, etc.

I was just wondering if anyone has done this and approximately how much did it cost?

Just finished mine, so stoked on it! its a drop-deck but added a bit of kick-tail for cruising around the beach. It sounds a bit weird, but rides do damn smooth and the best part was it cost me 12 dollars for the wood (8 ply maple/oak combination) and 5 for grip-tape.
