It's not because I have some affiliation with a ski company that I do not have the right to have an opinion of my own... Kid has mad talent and has a great bag of tricks, but I just do not enjoy watching him ski and I do not like his style. I agree with the robocopskier picture. That said, he still is so young that he has plenty of time to develop his style and make things look good. Have a good day my friend.

prime example of why some people dont like him, he's got that jock mentality of a skier, all my favorite skier would never say they train, they ski, just my opinion.

Since when has it been cool to not train as an athlete? All professional athletes train whether they want to admit it or not. No professional hockey player would have ever made it big without being on ice 4 times a week. It's the difference between recreation and professionalism.

Well stated.

But addressing everybody saying that Nick and Bobby have no style, I think it's because they're mostly contest skiers. I know that Bobby filmed with MSP and rocked that, but even all that was resort rails and a big air jump: The kind of stuff you'll see in a contest. I haven't seen Nick in any movies this year, and never seen him ski urban or backcountry or anything like that. So my conclusion is that they're trying to progress their skiing to the most extreme limit that they can manage, in big parks and jumps, in order to surpass everybody else in terms of the technicality of their tricks. Some people like Parker White and Ahmet Dadali spend the majority of their time filming urban and unique stuff you won't see at X Games or in the Dew Tour. It's the way they spend most of their time, so they learn tricks that will help them excel in the filming scene, while the 'robo-skiers' are learning bigger, more technical tricks that will score higher in big contests.

sure he trains and works hard, but every time i see him ski, he is having a blast. its still training, but its not like it is a forced thing, he just loves skiing all the time

though there is nothing wrong with anyone's style, i do agree that doing dew tour on pow skis makes jameson the one with the BEST style

he's the nicest, most dedicated kid in the sport, he's 17 years old, and he placed at like 7 or 8 majors this year.

I don't mind watching his edits, he's got some nice tricks. He'll develop a more distinct style with time, I'm sure. Nothing to get your undies in a bundle over.

At this particular point in time, however, I think his style is still lacking something that sets him apart from other skiers. Example: watch a Talkington or Martini edit, then watch a Goepper edit...

Thats an incredibly broad definition for a word. Style is a manner of doing something. That same thing can be done in so many different ways and interpreted in just as many different ways. If someone does something that you dont like then you are more keene to a different style. Saying someone has no style is an incredibly dumb statement. You are simply not a fan and supporter of the individuals style. If you can not understand this then you should take a step back and think about it before you accuse someone of "not having" style.

We participate in a sport that is so open to interpretation and this is going to help create so many different styles. Everyone of us is doing the same thing, we are just not doing it in the same manner.

This is my one serious response to these dumb threads because i am sick of people being so uneducated and ignorant. So tired of people hating on the sport we all love.

Have fun out there kids, skiing is the greatest sport out there, simply because of how open ended it is.

I don't feel like reading through a bunch of people shitting on Geopper because they don't like his style, so this may have already been said. Everyone develops their own personal style. Your style is just the way you look when you ski. Some people have a smooth style, agressive style, hucked style, the list goes on. Stop saying Geopper has "no style". Just because you don't personally like his style doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

The kid is 17 years old, and in the last year or two, he's gone from being roughly 5 feet tall to 6 feet tall. The same thing happend to Chris Laker, and the same threads were made. Now Laker has developed a dirty style that a lot of kids seem to appreciate. Give Goepper another year, and I'd be willing to bet he'll acclimate to his body and work out some sick style too.

Also, these threads are getting boring.
