I was using my macbook this morning, skyping my friend, facebook, etc. I came back to it 30 minutes later and I tried to open up Safari, but it said I wasn't connected to the internet. At first, I had full bars, but then it switched to an exclamation point over my bars saying I'm not connected to the internet, even though I have my wifi selected and I had used it just a little bit earlier. I tried restarting my computer, turning airport on and off, etc. but nothing seems to be working! Please help, I need to use this thing soon!
i would try removing all privacy settings and in your network prefrences go back to defaults. also try connecting to other Wi-fi networks. if all of that doesnt work set your iphone(or ipod touch if you have either) to allow teathered data and connect to that(via bluetooth i think)
(first post on NS in months.... just got my mac working!!! im gunna back it up soon then completely blow it up, get a new battery and reinstall an operating system. i will need to get windows on this soon... engineering apps :S )
sometimes this happens to me. what i do is click the bars to get the menu and then click join other networks. after that click show networks. then just select ur internet. hope that fixes it
turn it off and on. if you try to click on the wifi bar and you get the beachball, then turn the computer off and on. otherwise just hit the thing until it works.
