I didn't quite know how to search bar this topic, mostly because it's hard to put into succinct phrasing, but is it possible to get your "member since" number transferred from an older account to your current one to show that you've been a member for longer?

You don't think you'd be allowed to do it even if it's from one of your older accounts? I started under a different name in 2003, but changed it two years later to my current one. I never go on the other one, but it still exists.

doesn't really matter, but the mods probably wouldn't let you do it because there is no way of them knowing for sure that they are both your accounts.

but as to op, it seems like that is the new popular thing to do is that claim that you have an older account or that you have lurked on this site for years before joining. I dont get why people do this, is internet popularity that important?
