since i snapped both my reno jibs im in the market for a new pai of skis. I want to get the reno jibs again because i loved them but i also heard good stuff about the punx. I thought i would look into some other skis before going right for the jibs. Whats your thoughts ns?
Since you snapped your jibs, and you're not the only one who has. I would go with the punx. They are both symmetrical but the punx are softer. They are so much fun, I love mine. I'm hoping Atomic never gets rid of their punx like Line did with invaders. I don't think I'll ever get a different pair of skis.
They have a very low swing weight and are so poppy! My edges still look really good (next year's are even beefier). Let me know if you have questions
They have good stiffness. I have them and hit big stuff with them and I'm comfortable hucking my meat off 60 footers. Also, all the Atomic athletes use them in Big air and slopestyle comps (Andreas, Jossi) and they seem to like them.
They have some stiffness to them, they're not like the invaders I previously had. Also I'm 5'10 and got the 182s and they are really stable/not noodly.
im was in the EXACT same position as you. i had some reno jibs and snapped them. I looked into new skis and went with the punx. The don't ride like the jibs so it will be a change. They pop a lot more on jumps than the jibs do, but i felt like the jibs held up on landings better. Even though they are called the "jibs" i think that punx are way more playful on rails and boxes.
^^The reason the jibs hold up better on landing is probably because u have tiny skis... Haha. Since u snapped ur jibs then id go with the punx. Stose seems to like his
