I currently have the Olympus Ep-2:
http://www.olympuscanada.com/cpg_section/product.asp?product=1482
and I want better sound quality.
The Ep-2 is not built with a mic input, but you can purchase a mic adapter+mic set:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/674887-REG/Olympus_147592_SEMA_1_Microphone_Adapter_Set.html
the adapter is a standard 3.5 jack, so I was planning on getting a Rode VideoMic Pro (3.5 jack) and not using the mic that comes with the adapter.
BUT, I was looking at some other adapters, and found these (a much cheaper option, especially as I only want the adapter):

so my question is, would either of these work? they seem to me like they do the same thing as the olympus adapter, AND they leave a hotshoe open to mount the VideoMic, which is an added bonus.
Sparknotes: will the linked third-party adapters connect my Ep-2 and a Rode VideoMic Pro?
