^ Because one of the main reasons hip-hop was created was for an outlet for the community of the Bronx (where it originated) as a way to educate and get the word out to other people on what they deal with in their lives. The involvement of white people in the hip-hop movement back then was amost unheard of, only white person I can think of is creator of Def-Jam Records.
