Might be transferring up to NMU in the fall. just wondering if there are any good ski shops up there, preferably ones that are hiring.

Also is it a pretty cool place to go to school?

i got a chance to stop by the compound when i was in marquette last winter and it seemed like a super cool shop

Transcripts have been sent. looking into joining ski team. Is anyone here on it?
Also does Marquette Mtn have a shop or anywhere that would be hiring aside from lifty or cafe in the winter?

Just contacted Marquette Mtn and Downriver sports about a job.
I saw on downtown Marquette's website that there is a store called Ski Rack but I can't access the website. From google reviews it appears that it is mostly a Nordic skiing store, can anyone give me more info??

a bunch of my friends work at mqt mtn. everyone applies in october or so and they hire from there.

the compound doesnt really hire, brandon and paul run the shop and do a damn good job at that

the ski rack is an outdoor sports store, not a ski shop. they may sell twin tips in the winter, but i am not sure. downwind sells skis, but they aren't strictly a ski shop.

the mtn does have a shop, but its not much

the thing with getting a shop job in mqt is that you have to pretty much be a local, and get to know the owner/current employees fairly well. same goes for MM. I can pretty much guarantee that MM will only be hiring 2-3 new employees for next season across all departments. The people that work there have been doing it for years. Your best bet is night snow making.
