Getting music off an IPOD?

ok heres the situation. my computer has just like shat itself and im gonna have to reformat it. but i have like 8 gb of music that i dont want to have to re download. this music is also on my ipod. is there any way that i can reformat my computer and then plug my ipod back in and get that music off of it? please help me....
oh and i didnt write this on my computer.

search ipoddownload on google its a program that lets you do that

The moral of the story is, bullshit may get you to the top, but it wont keep you there.

its really easy. open the ipod folder, and go to folder options. set to veiw all hidden folders.
you will then find a bunch of folders with all your songs in it.
