Im coming to osu next fall and am super excited to get down there. Im just wondering what the skiing will be like/ if ill be able to get 3-4ish days a week/ people to ride with. Also, when or how should I buy a pass for Mad River?

You will definitely be able to get in 3-4 days a week easily. Check out the Ohio State Ski Team, we offer discount season passes to Mad River, plus it will make it easy to find rides.

Im an officer on the OSU ski team and can tell you that you will be able to ski as much as your schedule allows. my personal record @osu is 105 days of skiing and ive averaged around 80 in my 4 years here. ski team is always carpooling out to madriver after class on weekdays and taking weekend trips to various places as well as a winter break trip (destination TBA).  although we do compete in races it is not  mandatory and most of us ski park 99% of the time.  ill be going into my 5th year on team next year (super senior!!) and i can tell you that one of the best choices i made during my time @ osu was to join team.  if u wanna ski all the time at the best park in the midwest (Capital PARK), and meet a bunch of cool people to ski/party with then definitely check us out.

Yeah man, if MSU is Montana State, I faced the same decision. Such a difficult choice but stoked on OSU! Ski Team sounds sick.  Deff dont expect to get anywhere near 105 days in but thats awesome  that much of an opportunity is there. Is ski team the same thing as the ski club or are those two totally seperate things? I will hit up the ski team for sure though.

ski team is NOT ski club. ski club never goes skiing except west coast trips on winter and spring breaks. there trips are about twice as expensive as ours although they go west and we go east. i believe their SB trip was half skiing half beach or someting. we are more geared toward skiing at mrm during the week and traveling for races/partying on weekends. we have people who participate in both but if you wanna ride @mrm on the reg then check team out at the involvement fair in the fall

Join ski team! I transferred into OSU this year and it was definitely one of the best decisions I've made. The people are awesome and great to ride with. So much fun, there's an edit in here somewhere, the last day at mad river thread, that has some of the ski team members

hahah. I like em both! Probably ohio state more. Sister goes to MSU, but OSU is a beeter school academic wise and typically has better sports teams. And clearly a better ski program

We did our own unofficial gaper day. It was the most fun I've had skiing all year. Everyone was super relaxed, and just doing dumb stuff.

yeah, just looking at edits/facebook makes it pretty clear that ski TEAM wouyld deffinitely be the best for skiing and fun. The edits also helped reassure that staying in ohio for college wont be a big deal in terms of skiing. It looks like a lot of fun! Awesome to know that theres such a great skiing comminity at OSU

Im transferring to OSU next year and I'm so psyched. Im pretty good friends with Brady and he tells me all about the parties and skiing and whatnot. Also idk if any of you know him from PFC or not but my buddy Ben Jackson, who is a photographer, is also going up there. So pumped!

brady is the bomb. he is also our newest social chairman, just elected on friday. heard the name ben jackson b4 but not sure if ive met him. im from cinci tho so i used to ride pns and pfc all the time back in the day. glad to hear yet another NSer is coming to osu!

Damn. Mad jealous of OSU right now. So sick that you guys get to ski and party on the weekends. Only partying here at UD.

Going to be lucky to make it up there 6 times this winter, let alone 80 as someone earlier mentioned. Appreciate it while you have it.
